Honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus
At Sacred Heart Villa, we perform many practices which are tied to devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The religious congregation of Sisters that founded and ministers here is devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. All the students learn to pray to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. On First Fridays the Kindergarten class celebrates Mass in the school chapel. Each year on or near October 16th the Kindergarten class leads a prayer service to enthrone the Sacred Heart of Jesus – a practice which makes honoring Jesus more tangible.
October 16th is the feast of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, who received private visions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and helped spread devotion to the Sacred Heart. Last week, our ten Kindergarten students led this year’s prayer service from the school chapel. We videotaped the prayer service so we could share it with the other classes and the families of the school. SHV Has SO Much to Be Grateful
The Villa is so grateful to Anthonino’s Taverno for hosting our October Dining with Donors last week. We are also thankful to the families that participated in our Virtual Trivia Night on Saturday. We had many generous round sponsors and donors for snacks, beverages, gift cards and items for our silent auction. Many local businesses were kind enough to still donate what they could. We really appreciate that so many businesses and people want to assist us in our ministry to serve God’s little ones at the Villa. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus bless each of them for their kindness.
