Teachers Find Creative Ways to Connect With Students

The staff of SHV is working very diligently to stay connected to the students and families doing this time of social-distancing.  Teachers are having Zoom meetings with their classes and with individual families. Daily teachers and aides are posting self-made videos of lessons, singing, dancing and storytelling. For Easter, the staff went beyond the call of duty. Here are just a few examples. Miss Ashley dressed up as the Easter Bunny and visited the houses of her Little Tykes.  Miss Troy did drive-by visits to her Tender Hearts. Miss Ellen did a surprise drop off at PreK 2’s homes. The Sisters made videos for Palm Sunday and an Easter greeting from the staff who submitted pictures or videos of themselves with bunny ears and Happy Easter posters.  Many families are also staying connected to the staff through videos and photos sent through emails and other closed-school platforms. Our hearts stay connected through various means but most importantly, we all stay connected in the Heart of our risen Savior through prayer.
