Sacred Heart Villa had a strong presence at the Mass commemorating the beatification of Blessed Clelia Merloni at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis on April 6, 2019. Sister Maria Battaglia led the procession, carrying the relic of Blessed Clelia. At the Offertory, Sister Bridget Smith, along with Sister Maria Lourdes Maranan, and the Laura and Andrew Gayer Family carried the gifts to the altar. Celebrating the special Mass were Archbishop Robert Carlson and Bishop Mark Rivituso. After the Mass, the relic of Blessed Clelia was venerated. Many Villa families, past and current, were in attendance. The day ended with a reception in Boland Hall, right across from the Cathedral.
