Getting Acquainted

This coming week, the Villa will have two opportunities for families to become better acquainted with others and learn more about our school. First, on Wednesday August 30th, the Villa will host our Back-to-School Night which begins at 7:00 pm. Please plan on getting to school a bit early to park your car and allow enough time to walk to your child's classroom so the teacher can begin promptly at 7:00 pm. If you have two children, parents may divide up between the two classrooms or visit one classroom for part of the time and then visit the other classroom. Teachers will explain the routine of the day along with some basic expectations that are age appropriate for that class. At 7:30 pm, parents will be notified to proceed to the first floor and gather in the playroom. Information will be shared with the parents from Sister Bridget Smith, Kris Doder, and Sr. Christian Price.

Second, on Thursday, August 31st from 11am – 9pm, we will be partnering with Favazza’s at 5201 Southwest Avenue on the corner of Southwest and Marconi Avenues.  You can dine inside their spacious restaurant or outside on the beautiful patio. Carry out is also available from this award winning restaurant on The Hill. Favazza’s is offering family style meals to go which serves four and includes their famous garlic bread. On Thursday’s you can order 2-10” Hand Tossed Pizzas & 16 piece Toasted Ravioli. Visit their website for further information and a link to make reservations or order online: Favazza's – Restaurant on The Hill.  The owners, brothers John and Tony Favazza, are long-time supporters of The Villa.

Almost every month, Sacred Heart Villa partners with a local restaurant for our Dining with Donors campaign. The Villa promotes a local eatery and the business owners in turn give a portion of the day’s sales to The Villa.  In the last three years since we started the Dining with Donors promotion, Sacred Heart Villa has raised over $15,500 from the generous donations of these local businesses, the families and friends who support us through these initiatives. Take a break from cooking on a hot summer night and enjoy some great Italian food while supporting a local Hill business and our school!
