The Villa’s summer camp continues with this fourth week devoted to STEAM activities. STEAM teaches children about science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. These activities help children build a strong understanding of fundamental, complex principles which they can build upon as they gain knowledge. The children will participate in age appropriate STEAM activities which may include making kites or rockets and testing them, forming sugar crystals, exploring with simple machines and gears. The children will be guided by their teacher to create a STEAM project based on the group’s interest. While STEAM projects can be fun, they also help to foster a love for learning as children gain knowledge of how the world works. Critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and problem solving a just a few ways children will benefit from the STEAM activities. We look forward to seeing what creative ideas they will construct this week.
