In honor of our Mother Mary during the month of May, the Terrific Two’s and the Tiny Tots classes will be doing a donation drive. Currently, with approximately 20 to 30 refugee families arriving in our St. Louis community each week, their food and living allotment is lagging for about 60 days after their arrival. Three refugee centers OASIS International, House of Goods, and the International Institute have provided clothing for all members of these refugee families. However, our contact at the Centers indicated a helpful addition would be gift cards - in any denomination - for Aldi's, Walmart and Target. In this way, parents could shop for needed food, hygiene items at a price conscious store until that financial help is received. What makes moms happy is seeing their children and families with food on their table, clothes on their back and a special treat once in a while. A "gift card" for this Mother's Day would certainly fill that void until their stipend is received. You may leave cash or gift card donations in the office, or with Ms. Mary Grace in the Tiny Tots!
