Each year at our Auction, we honor members of our community who support our ministry at Sacred Heart Villa with The Heart of Hearts Award. Friday evening, April 21st, we honored Elaine Fassi who has been teaching piano at Sacred Heart Villa for 22 years and been our accompanist for many years for the Christmas pageant and other performances. She has been teaching piano at Rosati-Kain High School for 40 years. In addition, she offers private music lessons in her home. In all she does, she is patient, encouraging and joyful with her students. Elaine looks forward to sharing the gift of music for years to come. We thank Ms. Elaine for her dedication and patience with our young budding musicians. We were pleased to honor her with this well-deserved award.
It was also our pleasure to honor Pietro’s Restaurant and the Iovaldi family with the Sacred Heart Villa’s Heart of Hearts Award. They have generously supported our school over the years through monetary donations, food, and volunteering. While the restaurant is slightly off the Hill, the Iovaldis have strong ties to the Hill community. John Iovaldi and his siblings grew up right across the street from the Villa and several family members attended our school over the years. In 2018, John and Barb Iovaldi made the choice to send their oldest child, Johnny, to Sacred Heart Villa. They quickly came to love the school and their three younger children followed. Seeing the nurturing environment and the community of wonderful families, Barb decided to become involved by volunteering her time on the auction committee. In 2020 Barb joined our development team, working alongside Sister Bridget to run events. The Iovaldi family and Pietro’s Restaurant willingly continue to be a part of the Sacred Heart Villa family and to support the school year after year through fundraisers and donations.
We thank Ms. Elaine, John and Marianne and John and Barb Iovaldi for their dedication and support to Sacred Heart Villa.
We also thank so many of our families and friends who attended the auction and generously supported The Villa.
