Grateful for Our Hard-Working Teachers & Staff

Grateful for Our Hard-Working Teachers & Staff

Once again, Sacred Heart Villa has a temporary closure due to COVID-19. These past weeks have been very challenging for Sacred Heart Villa as it relates to this virus. We found it necessary to close two classes when a child in each class tested positive. Next on November 18th, we made the hard decision to temporarily close the school when a staff member who has close contact with numerous children and staff tested positive for COVID also. This hard but necessary decision was made in the best interest of the young children in our care who are unable to be vaccinated and are the most vulnerable to this virus. We are grateful for the parents who have been supportive and understanding. Our staff has worked so hard to keep everyone healthy, encouraging proper hand washing, reminding the children to cover their cute button nose, and have been sanitizing surfaces all day long.

On November 19th, teachers started posting virtual lesson. Our teachers are working hard to remain connected to the families through Class Dojo. Our parents have been assured that the teachers will be creating lessons for home activities & work for their children to complete during the time away from the classroom.  All the teachers are including Thanksgiving themed activities. We are grateful we have a short week due to the holiday which gives us some more time.  Sr. Alice and Kris Doder will keep communicating with parents as updates are needed.

Please pray for our school community as we continue to navigate through these challenging times.
