Mark Your Calendars for Our Ninth Annual Auction on March 13th 

Our ninth Heart of Hearts Auction on Saturday, March 13th from 6 – 9 p.m. will be virtual. The proceeds from the auction will enable Sacred Heart Villa to continue necessary capital improvements and to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our children. We are excited to announce that our Fund-A-Need will benefit our children directly as we renovate our playground and outdoor classroom. Our playground equipment has gotten a beating over the 30 years of wear and tear from thousands of children and St. Louis weather. 

The same company that produced our fun Trivia Night in the fall will also be leading us in this virtual event. Everyone who purchases a ticket to “attend” our virtual event will receive an email with the Zoom link to join the auction.  As in our previous auctions, silent auction items will be displayed and described through the specific Bidpal website set up for our event. Dan Buck, who is always entertaining, will once again be our auctioneer. He might not be blowing his whistle to call someone out for spousal interference, though he will have other ways to encourage attendees to freely bid on live auction items!  

You may be wondering how a live auction can run virtually. Just as you bid through your cell phone or tablet on silent auction items, people will be able to enter bids for live auction items.  Four live auction items will be presented at a time. Participants will be given a set amount of time to bid on these items.  The designated time for closing the live auction will be given. Before this portion of the program begins, you will be instructed on how to place your bids. We are very excited about the variety of items we are auctioning: trips, fun day packages, and special personal events to name a few.  

There are two choices for tickets: General Admissions or Party in Place. The General Admissions ticket includes a gift bag with a cocktail courtesy of Pietro’s, a cocktail glass and some sweet surprises to name a few. Party in Place participants will receive these same items in a gift bag and will choose from four dinner choices topped off with a bottle of wine. These freshly prepared dinners from Favazza’s will be packaged and ready for pick up from Rose of the Hill between 12 – 3 p.m. the day of the auction.  Further information about picking up your party bags and meals will be given in March.

 If you participated in either our Virtual Trivia in the fall or our Virtual Wine Tasting Event last week, you have learned that virtual activities can be entertaining.  So enjoy a fine Italian meal, some drinks and sweets as you sit back in the comfort of your home and enjoy helping Sacred Heart Villa raise money for the children’s playground and outdoor classroom.
